Rules & Scoring Information

HOW TO PLAY
OBJECT
The object of the game is for your team to accumulate the highest fantasy point total any one week and/or over the season. Players on your team will earn fantasy points based on their statistical performance in NHL games for the season.  All our Leagues are set up on a Head to Head Competition.  The Team who has the highest total points for the week will be given the win.
DURATION
The Fantasy Hockey  Season covers 28 weeks of the 2003 NHL regular season. NHL postseason games are not included in the Fantasy Hockey.  Each Team will Play 24  Games in the Regular Season.  The Top Team in each division will Go to the Playoffs. The two teams with the Best Record there after will get the Wild Cards.  The Playoffs will be the last 4 weeks of the regular season.. Each Playoff team will Play each other for two full weeks to determine the winner and who will go on to the Championship.
Tie Breakers :1st: Win Percentage  2nd: Divison Wins 3rd: Year to Date Points.
YOUR TEAM
Roster
Team rosters must consist of a total of 16 total Players and 11 total Starters. You must select the following positions for your team:

    2 - Centers Can Draft up to (3)
    2 - Left Wings  Can Draft up to (3)
    2 - Right Wings Can Draft up to (3)
    3 - Defense Players Can Draft up to (4)
    2 - Goalies Can Draft up to (3)

Leagues
All teams must be placed in a league. Leagues will consist of no more than 10-12 teams.

Draft:

Leagues who choose to use a online draft system.  Drafts will begin as soon as the league fills up . A Date will be set once the league fills up and teams will have 5 Mins to make their selection.  If a team misses their pick the computer will draft for you, However you must have this set in the back end of your team page..  By doing this Click RANK PLAYERS Click  CHOOSE DRAFT ORDER PREFERENCE and adjust it to the setting to Computer picks.  Then the computer will pick the highest ranking player that is set under rankings in the main team page.

Drafting is easy!  Once you enter your team page click Draft..  Then notice on the upper right hand corner of the screen who pick it is..  If its your teams pick then click the Position button Exp: LW or G  then the group of free agent players will come up,  Click the player you desire then click ADD.  That's it.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Point System subjected to changes. Will be posted 2 weeks before season.

Short Handed Goal 3 points
Game Winning Goal 5 points
Game Tieing Goal 3 Points
Penalty Minutes Per Minute in Box (10 Mins to 1 Point)  .1 points
Goalies
Scoring
Win 10 point
Tie 5  points
Loss -5 Points
Saves 1  points
Shutouts 10 points
Goals Allowed -1 Points*

* Points are combined if The Goalie Receives a Shutout He will get combined points 10 for shutout + 10 For Win.

 
TRADING
Trades can be made up to three weeks prior to the Playoffs.  All Trades will be Reviewed before accepted for complete fairness, All Trades Approved or Disapproved will Be Decided  On Tuesday, This way it gives teams time to set their line-ups for the week..

Lineup Postings
Lineups are set once per week..  Lineups must be set by Midnight on Sundays

ALL TRADES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND ARE CONSIDERED FINAL

Waiver Wire:

Waiver wire is Simple it is set up with Worst to First...  Worst team is first, First place team is last..  Waivers are then approved by Lineup dead lines.   Waiver wire and trades are cut off three weeks prior to the Playoffs

Each League Winner Will Receive a 14 Inch Solid Hockey Player Trophy engraved with your team name and Fantasy 2003 Champion!.. Also Winners of the League will be able to Play for free the next season..
